DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION IN HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS: ASSESSING THE ADOPTION AND SOCIETAL IMPLICATIONS OF HEALTH-TECH INNOVATIONS IN PASIG CITY

The main objective of this study is to determine whether the selected demographic characteristics of the respondents significantly associated to the adoption level and societal implication towards healthcare innovation in healthcare systems in Pasig city. Three hundred eighty-five (385) participants were computed using Cochran to participate in the study. But, due to time constraints, the researchers only gathered One hundred seventy-six (176) participants. These participants were purposively selected from the criteria to whether they used mobile health application at least once and they are living in the area of Pasig City. The researchers used Quantitative Methodology because the variables used to the study were numerical data. The correlational design was used because the study assesses the correlation between the demographic profile of the respondents and the adoption level and societal implication towards healthcare innovation in healthcare systems. The study also used Descriptive design because it describes and summarize the data gathered. To further describe and quantitatively investigate the data the percentage, median, chi- square test for independence or also known as Pearson Chi-square were used. The researchers used a self-made survey questionnaire that undergone content validation to various experts and pilot testing to test the reliability. The study concluded that the participants were mostly adult and predominantly female, with a lower-class monthly family income. The participants’ claim that their demographic profile does not associate in the adoption level and societal implication in healthcare innovation in healthcare systems. The participants’ sex, age, and monthly family income have no significant correlation on their adoption level and societal implication in healthcare innovation in healthcare systems.
