Identification of bacterial pathogens and antimicrobial susceptibility of early-onset sepsis (EOS) among neonates in Palestinian hospitals: a retrospective observational study
Our findings underscore the importance of continuous surveillance of bacterial pathogens and their antimicrobial susceptibility patterns in the management of EOS among neonates in Palestinian hospitals. The findings generated will guide clinicians in selecting appropriate empirical therapies and facilitating early and targeted interventions. Future research should focus on strategies to enhance infection prevention and control measures in Palestinian neonatal care unites to mitigate the burden of EOS and antimicrobial resistance.
