Intervención arqueológica, estudio constructivo y restitución volumétrica de la torre-puerta bajomedieval del Pont del Vidre (Llíria, Valencia)
The Pont del Vidre gate-tower is a defensive construction dating from the 14th century, belonging to the Christian walled circuit of Llíria, Valencia. Until 2020 it was in a poor state of conservation, which led to an action aimed at its archaeological and constructive study and its enhancement, with the aim of establishing its dating, function and the characteristics of its masonry. In this way, a faithful restitution of its original appearance could be undertaken and its relationship with its surroundings could be better understood. Measurements and techniques were recovered that provide us with a great deal of information. This important landmark of late medieval Llíria, an intermediate agricultural town in the Kingdom of Valencia, and the evolution of the tower up to the present day are presented.
