UPQC Uniqueness in Improvement of Power Quality for a Grid-Tied PV-SOFC System
While working in power sector our main goal is to produce enough energy to meet demand at convenient locations and convey that energy, distribute it to various load centers, and guarantee the power supplies quality and dependability at reasonably fair prices. This work uses MATLAB R2016a to model the Unified Power Quality Conditioner (UPQC) and addresses several Power Quality (PQ) issues in a PV-SOFC integrated grid power system. The simulation study is based on the sinusoidal current control strategy (SCCS). Various loads, both linear and non-linear, are included in the analysis. This UPQC application aims to lower the harmonic factor and, in addition, balance the complex power that is unsettled due to abrupt and different activities. The proposed technique ensures that the power source delivers sinusoidal quantities.
