Delay Analysis of All-Optical Network with Decentralized Control

The approach of signal delay analysis for the all-optical network with decentralized control is proposed. The network based on 8×8 switches is considered. The approach includes an assessment of the delay of optical signals during propagation through optical structures of switching elements, during the formation of control electrical signals, as well as during the propagation of signals through optical communication channels. The method of calculating the transient process in the control circuit is presented.

Abstract

The approach of signal delay analysis for the all-optical network with decentralized control is proposed. The network based on 8×8 switches is considered. The approach includes an assessment of the delay of optical signals during propagation through optical structures of switching elements, during the formation of control electrical signals, as well as during the propagation of signals through optical communication channels. The method of calculating the transient process in the control circuit is presented.
