A Novel Five-Dimensional Chaotic System for Medical Image Encryption with X-Axis Projection

This manuscript introduces an encryption methodology for medical imagery, leveraging a novel five-dimensional chaotic system alongside projection techniques along the x-axis. We begin by constructing a pioneering five-dimensional chaotic system through sophisticated feedback control techniques. For the encryption process, the plaintext image's pixel values are utilized to set the radius, with the chaotic sequence dictating the angular relationship to the x-axis for the initial projection-based encryption. The encrypted medical image is then subjected to bit-level permutation based on the chaotic sequence, culminating in a bitwise XOR operation with the sequence to produce the final secure medical image. Comprehensive theoretical analysis and simulation data confirm the method's expansive key space, pronounced key sensitivity, and its adeptness at thwarting statistical and grayscale value analyses, marking it as a proficient encryption solution for medical images.
