Identification of the Amount of Salt Impurities in an Aqueous Solution Using Radiointroscopy

The article considers the possibility of studying aqueous solutions for the presence of impurities by introscopy by microwave radio waves. The article provides practical research on measuring the reflection coefficient of radio waves from an aqueous solution in a container of finite size. The mathematical model of the reflection of radio waves from a multilayer surface is compared with experimental data. The frequency range for the research was from 2500 MHz to 3000 MHz. It was found that in containers of a finite size, a solution of water with a small amount of impurities sharply reduces the reflection coefficient compared to water without impurities. At salinity levels up to 4%, the reflection coefficient is lower than that of water without impurities. The article proves that it is possible to distinguish the amount of salt impurities with a difference in water salinity of less than 0.8%. The article shows that the introscopy method has high accuracy even under conditions of a multitude of interfering radio signals.
