Research and application of key technology of high speed laser clearance of tree obstacles on transmission lines

Transmission line tree obstacles pose a great threat to the safe operation of power system. Laser obstacle clearance technology provides a new way for remote tree obstacles removal, but the existing technology and products have shortcomings in efficiency and speed, and the clearance efficiency is greatly affected by personnel experience. High efficiency and high speed clearance of tree obstacles is the focus and difficulty of current work. Aiming at the requirements of engineering applications, the laser active dynamic focusing technology was developed to realize the dynamic focusing fast cutting function with high power density, and the influence of remote cutting mode on the clearance efficiency of tree obstacles was explored. Based on video and image AI technology, real-time breakdown judgment and automatic cutting are realized to solve the efficiency problems caused by experience and human misjudgment. The prototype equipment is developed and the engineering test is carried out. The results show that the efficiency of the laser high-speed obstacle clearance system based on laser dynamic focusing technology and AI technology is twice than that of the traditional obstacle clearance products, and it has broad engineering application prospects.
