High-Speed Maglev Train Speed Measurement and Positioning Technology Research Overview

The paper provides a comprehensive review of the current state and development trends of speed measurement and positioning technology for High-Speed Maglev Trains (HSMT). It first elaborates on the importance and characteristics of maglev train speed measurement and positioning technology, including strong coupling, high real-time performance, high precision, and technological diversity. Then, it thoroughly analyzes a variety of speed measurement and positioning technologies, including inductive loop, tooth slot detection, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), fiber optic measurement, Doppler radar, laser scanning, and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), and discusses their advantages and limitations in practical applications. The paper also introduces some new research developments in technology, such as Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) based fiber optic positioning measurement technology and improved Doppler radar speed measurement technology. In the future, speed measurement and positioning technology will place greater emphasis on the integration and innovation of technologies. By leveraging multi-sensor data fusion, it will achieve higher precision and robustness in positioning, providing support for engineering applications.
