Attitudes Toward Homosexuality Among Young Adults in India: A Descriptive Study
This study investigates the attitudes of young adults in India toward homosexuality. A total of 53 participants, including 29 females and 21 males, responded to a 21-item Likert-scale questionnaire. The findings revealed generally favorable attitudes, with females displaying more progressive views compared to males. Variability was observed in responses, particularly regarding personal, societal, and familial acceptance of homosexuality, underscoring the interplay between traditional and global influences. The study highlights the need for targeted awareness campaigns to bridge attitudinal gaps and foster inclusivity in India.
