Optimization and simulation of multilevel inventory strategy for repairable aviation materials considering demand forecasting

Abstract With the support of modern industrial technology, prediction algorithms can provide advance information about spare parts demand, which brings new optimization possibilities for inventory management. In this paper, the multi-level inventory strategy of repairable aviation materials under the demand forecast is studied. The traditional multi-level inventory strategy is modeled by the multi-level inventory control model, which takes the inventory cost minimization as the goal and the inventory satisfaction rate as the constraint. On this basis, the inventory strategy is optimized by considering the pre-demand information of spare parts inventory. Through the simulation and comparative analysis of the traditional multi-stage inventory and optimized inventory strategy of repairable parts of aviation materials, the optimization effect of the optimization inventory strategy of demand prediction is explored under different conditions such as false negative and false positive demand prediction signals. The research shows that the high accuracy and timeliness of demand prediction plays a significant role in reducing inventory cost and reducing inventory shortage.
