USE OF ADSORPTION REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT IN THE BUILDING'S AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM

Adsorption cooling is a promising area in the field of modern cooling technologies. The research presented in the article is aimed at studying adsorption cooling in order to provide moderate cold for indoor air conditioning, as well as at developing a scientific basis for experimental testing of a refrigeration unit. The paper describes in detail the principle of operation of adsorption cooling. Silica gel is used as an adsorbent, and water is used as a refrigerant. The advantage of adsorption cooling is the use of environmentally friendly refrigerants such as water. The article deals with theoretical aspects of heat and mass transfer processes in the adsorbent layer. Based on the analysis existing developments in the field of solar-powered adsorption conditioning are suggested as recommendations for future research in this area. The creation of autonomous solar-energy refrigeration units using a new generation of adsorption thermal transformers is an important step towards solving the problem of energy saving. Important priorities are to improve the design of devices of such installations and search for new working pairs of devices. The use of solar energy reduces the cost of operating the plant. Autonomy and simple design ensure the reliability and ease of use of such systems.
