FEATURES OF APPLICATION OF MACHINE VISION SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING ELECTRICAL DRIVE OF OVERHEAD CRANE

The paper explores the possibility of using a machine vision system together with a standard overhead crane electric drive control system. The problem of the spatial oscillations that reduce the accuracy of cargo positioning and the reasons for their occurrence are solved in this article. Various options for using overhead crane electric drive control systems to dampen oscillations are presented, and their comparative analysis is performed. The advantages and disadvantages of the PID-control system, a fuzzy logic control system and an adaptive control system for overhead crane electric drive are analyzed. The advantages of machine vision systems using are given. The efficiency of integrating a machine vision system into a 20/5 t double-girder overhead crane system is estimated. The algorithms for machine vision using to expand the capabilities of the standard overhead crane electric drive control system are proposed. An algorithm for monitoring cargo gripping is presented, consisting in determining the overall parameters of the cargo, determining its geometric center and the method of gripping. An algorithm for movement control is described, determining the most optimal transportation route and automatically assessing the space around the object of movement. A combined control system for an overhead crane is presented.
