MODELING AND ANALYSIS OF THE TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION OF A CHANNEL WALL WITH ITS FINNISHING WITH LONGITUDINAL RIBS OF FIXED AND VARIABLE HEIGHT

The presented research consists in increasing the efficiency of thermoelectric generator unit used for generating electric power at remote sites in the gas production and gas processing industries, by means of thermostatting the surface of flat channels between which thermoelectric generator modules are installed, by finning them with fins of variable height. The article contains the results of the modeling and analysis of the temperature distribution of the channel wall when finned with fins of fixed and variable height, while the initial data for the modeling were the parameters recorded during the experimental research with channels including fins of variable height and the calculated values of the heat flux according to the specified data for the case with fins of fixed height. The obtained graphical results allow us to estimate the uniformity of the temperature field of the channel walls, when they are finned with ribs of fixed and variable height, from which it can be seen that the temperature distribution is performed more uniformly for the variant with ribs of variable height, during the modeling, numerical values of the pressure drop and useful thermal power received by the TGM were also obtained for each finning variant.
