Comparative Outcomes Following Radiofrequency Ablation and Polidocanol Microfoam Ablation of Symptomatic, Incompetent Small Saphenous Veins

patency. At 3-month follow-up, 42.9% of wounds completely resolved, and 57.1% were healing. At 6-month follow-up (n 21), the reintervention rate was 14.2%, with no need for stent relining. All stents with available data remained patent.Total care costs were $11,473 in Cohort 1 and $5844 in Cohort 2, resulting in a 49% reduction in cost/limb/year (Fig). Conclusions: This retrospective analysis indicates that the RevCore thrombectomy catheter is safe and effective in treating IST, resulting in restored and sustained patency and accelerated wound healing.Compared with standard therapy, procedures are associated with a low reintervention rate, without any need for stent relining, and yielding cost savings as early as 1 year after treatment.
