Treatment of Superficial Vein Thrombosis With Intermediate Dose of Tinzaparin in Patients at High Thromboembolic Risk. Results From an Observational, Multicentre Study. The SeVEN Precision Study

venous stents were not size-appropriate.For the reintervention, the right internal jugular vein and bilateral popliteal veins were accessed.A venogram re-demonstrated the right common femoral vein occlusion as well as a large right EIV aneurysm (Fig 1).Sharp recanalization of the occlusion was performed with subsequent balloon angioplasty.Kissing 14-mm Venovo bare metal stents were placed in the IVC and bilateral common iliac veins. To exclude the right iliac venous aneurysm, a 16-mm Endurant iliac stent graft was deployed.A 16-mm Venovo stent was extended into the right common femoral vein.Post-dilation balloon angioplasty was performed.Completion venogram is shown in Fig 2.Results: Postoperatively, the patient reported improvement in his leg swelling. He was discharged on Eliquis. At his follow-up visit, he continued to report improved leg swelling as well as healing of his wounds. He will receive surveillance ultrasounds to monitor his venous disease. Conclusions: Venous obstructive disease with concurrent aneurysmal degeneration requires a multifaceted approach. This case outlines a unique approach utilizing bare metal stents to address obstructive disease and concurrently using an iliac artery stent graft within the bare metal stent system to offer appropriate exclusion of the right external iliac vein aneurysm.
