DESENVOLVIMENTO DE PROCEDIMENTO OPERACIONAL PADRÃO PARA ESCRITURAÇÃO DE MEDICAMENTOS CONFORME PORTARIA SVS/MS 344/98.

SUMMARY This study addresses the responsibility of the Pharmacist in the management of controlled medications, according to Ordinance No. 344 of May 1998. The research setting is the Emergency Room of Jardim Jacira, located in Itapecerica da Serra-SP. The need to standardize handwritten records in the Satellite Pharmacy and the Hospital Pharmacy led to the creation of a Standard Operational Procedure (SOP). This work proposal emerges from the high turnover of Pharmacists in the institution, each following different methods. Consequently, there was no documented procedure for recording dispensations, losses, discrepancies, purchases, or any other legal activity related to these medications. The results of this research emphasize the importance of standardizing the processes for controlling controlled medications in healthcare units, contributing to operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with the regulations established by Ordinance No. 344/98. Furthermore, the documentation of this procedure complies with Good Pharmacy Practices defined by RDC No. 44/09, strengthening medication management in these institutions. Keywords: control; standard operational procedure; pharmacy.
