Performance Enhancement of Short-Range Visible Light Communication for V2V Communication
This paper proposes a novel approach to short-range optical wireless communication for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) interactions based on visible light communication (VLC) technology. The proposed methodology emphasises vehicle safety and operational efficiency by implementing crucial capabilities such as detecting distance between neighbouring vehicles, monitoring for potential overtaking or over speeding situations, checking brake temperature, and assuring driver awareness. By utilising VLC's high data rates and secure transmission capabilities, this technology allows for real-time data sharing, which can considerably increase situational awareness on the road. The suggested approach improves safety by allowing for exact distance measurements, alerting drivers to possible threats from preceding cars, and monitoring vital vehicle characteristics. Additionally, the system includes driver monitoring devices to guarantee attention throughout operation.
