Cybersecurity: Strategies, Sector-Specific Challenges, and Future Prospects

Data security is very important nowadays as there is a growth of cyber criminals and the formation of cybercrimes. The goal of this survey paper is to give a detailed overview of the concepts, approaches, issues, and developments that encompass cyber security. It starts with an explanation of fundamental concepts and tools, which include preventive, detective, and corrective controls. This research also discusses the general cyber security measures in different sectors including finance, health, government, and education, and specific threat and risk factors of each sector. Emerging trends and challenges, including advanced persistent threats, IoT security, AI/ML integration, and cloud computing, are discussed in detail. It provides information on the legal and ethical requirements of running a business, such as conformity to laws, and the impact of its operations on human rights. Last of all, this paper discusses likely developments and further prospects concerning technology, additional research themes, as well as the necessity of cooperation and knowledge exchange. By conducting this research, this work aspires to give an analysis of the current status of cyber security and an outlook of how cyber security will influence society in the future.
