Construction Method of a Virtual Debugging System for Equipment Based on Digital Twin

With the development of artificial intelligence, digital twins have further enhanced the level of industrial intelligence and informationization. However, achieving real-time interaction between virtual device information and physical device information, as well as managing the entire lifecycle of devices, are major issues in the application of digital twins. This paper introduces a construction method for a device virtual debugging system based on digital twins. The virtual debugging system is constructed using digital twin models, and by simulating the device operation process and comparing it with actual data, the efficiency and quality of device debugging are improved. Virtual debugging and verification are achieved through the combination of S7-PLCSIM Advanced, TIA Portal (TIA), and virtual simulation (PDPS). The effectiveness and practicality of virtual debugging based on this digital twin model are validated through the example of a dispensing system for a dispensing machine. Additionally, by designing a human-machine operation system, the actual debugging time and costs are significantly reduced, enhancing the performance and efficiency of the device.
