Design and Implementation of Fractional-Order PI Control for Fractional-Order Optical Communication Systems

This study proposes a fractional-order control strategy for the Optical Communication Tracking System (OCTS) to enhance tracking accuracy and robustness in free-space transmission. Fractional order models capture the dynamic properties of OCTS more accurately than traditional integer-order models. Subsequently, a Fractional-Order Proportional Integral (FO-PIλ) controller was designed based on finite-dimensional sampling data, which introduces the parameter λ to enhance control flexibility and precision. Simulation results demonstrate that the FO-PIλcontroller outperforms traditional integer-order PI controllers in terms of tracking accuracy and system stability.
