Wide Area Ecological Environment Monitoring System Based on Cloud Platform

Ecological environment pollution events may seriously jeopardize industrial and agricultural production and people's lives. Such incidents will not only lead to a reduction in crop yields, a decline in soil quality, and the pollution of water resources but will also have a long-term impact on people's health. In addition, the deterioration of the ecological environment will destroy the natural ecological balance, leading to the reduction of biodiversity and the degradation of ecosystem function. To address the above problems, this paper designs a wide-area ecological environment monitoring system based on a cloud platform, including a low-power environment monitoring sensor node and a web-based monitoring interface based on a cloud platform. The environmental monitoring terminal node consists of an STM32F103VET6 microcontroller, a low-power narrowband IoT communication module, a positioning module, and a variety of specific sensors; the system adopts front-end and back-end separation technology to develop a Web-based monitoring interface, and builds an eco-environmental monitoring cloud platform through Tencent Cloud, and realizes data interaction between the sensing node and the cloud platform by using the message queuing telemetry transmission protocol so that the administrator can remotely view the data. The test results show that the system is suitable for ecological environment monitoring because of its wide monitoring range, high real-time transmission, and friendly user interface.
