Recognition of Diseases in Agriculture Plant Leaf Using CNN
Agriculture plays a crucial role in human civilization by not only supporting the economy but also ensuring food production. However, plant leaves are susceptible to diverse number of diseases during cultivation, which can hinder the headway of plant species. Failure to detect such diseases at the right time may lead to a significant reduction in production and cause crop destruction. Farmers who use computerized imaging techniques in their fields to detect such diseases earlier can increase plant productivity. Hence, this work proposes a method to discover and categorize plant leaf diseases using Convolution Neural Network (CNN). The dataset PlantVillage is used to validate the system's performance and it is recorded using the metrics such as Accuracy, sensitivity and specificity. The proposed method has obtained a significant amount of accuracy of 89.95%. The comparative study is also passed out with others methods to justify the results of the proposed system.
