Active Fault-Tolerant Control for Networked Nonlinear Systems under Sensor Fault

In this paper, a fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control method based on a hyper basis function (HBF) neural network observer and state feedback predictive control is proposed for affine nonlinear systems operating under sensor fault conditions. The network-induced delay is modeled as round-trip time (RTT) delay, with additional consideration of sensor fault. Initially, an HBF neural network observer is developed to approximate the system state in real-time and detect sensor fault. Subsequently, effective fault-tolerant control is achieved through a state feedback predictive controller integrated with a network delay compensator. The results from the numerical simulations confirm the efficacy of the proposed method in handling sensor faults and network-induced delays.
