Intelligent Exploration and Development of Oil and Gas Fields Within the Framework of Digital Transformation Scene Design Research
The exploration and development engineering of oil and gas fields involves drilling, logging, oil testing, geology, drilling fluid, process production, drainage, and other technologies which have become relatively mature. As we enter the “Twelfth Five-Year” period, the integration of traditional information technology with oil and gas exploration engineering has accelerated significantly. This integration has greatly improved the efficiency of oil and gas exploration engineering as well as the extraction of resources. However, it is now approaching its limit in terms of technological innovation and process improvement. The existing technology and digital achievements are no longer sufficient to support the increasing demand for storage and production of oil and gas resources while also reducing costs. To address this challenge, there is a need to accelerate the integration and application of modern cutting-edge information technologies such as big data, 5G, VR (Virtual Reality), and IoT (Internet of Things) with traditional oil and gas exploration projects. This will lead to new application scenarios in intelligent drilling techniques along with supporting engineering applications; intelligent geological research; intelligent equipment; intelligent diagnosis; early warning systems; all aimed at driving innovation in the processes involved in oil and gas exploration. In conclusion, the paper discusses potential scenario designs for future digital transformation within both domestic & international contexts regarding smart field exploration & exploitation practices.
