Research on Parameter Interoperability of 30kW MC-WPT System

The interoperability of wireless power transfer for electric vehicles is the capacity of the system to output rated power at a specified efficiency when distinct ground and onboard devices are fitted. The direct consequence of poor interoperability is low charging efficiency when matching primary and secondary coils of different power levels, resulting in significant energy waste and even inability to charge normally. The main focus of this article is on the wireless power transfer system designed for LCC-LCC electric vehicles. It takes the size parameters of the transmitting end defined in GB/T 38755.6 as the standard. In this system, the compensating inductance at the transmitting end is regarded as a variable, aiming to optimize the transmission efficiency of the three secondary devices as well as the electrical parameters of the whole system. The feasibility of the proposed design approach for guaranteeing interoperability within the wireless charging system for electric vehicles has been verified through simulation.
