Design of MVDC/L VDC Conversion Structure in Submarine Power Supply System
The submarine power supply system (SPSS) acts as one of the most critical devices in the seafloor observation network (SON), directly impacting the success or failure of various submarine scientific observation missions. This paper mainly proposes a medium voltage direct current (MVDC)/low voltage direct current (LVDC) conversion structure for SPSS. Initially., the submarine DC power supply system is discussed., and the MVDC/L VDC structure is designed by combining CLLC resonant converter., dual active bridge (DAB) converter., and LLC resonant converter. Subsequently., the operational mechanism., control method., and system function of these three heterogeneous converters are individually demonstrated. Finally., simulation experiments illustrate the circuit characteristics of various converters and further validate the performance of the proposed system. The proposed MVDC/L VDC conversion structure can significantly contribute to achieving long-term., high-reliability., high-quality submarine power supply in SON.
