A Real-Time Controller for HMPT Based on EPICS and LoongArch
To test the performance of critical equipment under ultra-high temperatures, a testing facility for a high-temperature molten salt pump (HMPT) has been established at the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The control system of HMPT is based on the Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS). In this system, the EPICS IOC acts not only as an archive server but also as a controller, replacing traditional programmable logic controllers. We developed an IOC real-time controller based on LoongArch. In this paper, we first introduce the process of migrating EPICS to LoongArch. Then, we present the performance test results of this controller and its application for temperature control in HMPT.
