Research on Temperature Control of Welding Wire Heating System Based on Smith Prediction
Aiming at the moisture attached to the surface of the wire after the copper plating process, an inductor is designed to dry the moisture on the wire by induction heating. The heating power supply of the inductor adopts medium-frequency induction heating power supply. After designing the model of the inductor, the theoretical calculation of each workpiece parameter is used to obtain the corresponding heating frequency, coil current, power supply configuration and other parameters, and then the COMSOL finite element software simulation method is used to numerically simulate the working state of each part and simulate the role of magnetic-thermal coupling, which concludes that it meets the design requirements and obtains a better effect in the industry. On this basis, this project proposes a new optimal design method of induction heating system based on Smith predictive PID, and through the comparative study with the control model without Smith predictive PID, it is found that this method can not only reduce the overshooting amount of induction heating, but also effectively improve its stable operation state, and it can satisfy the heating and drying requirements for the welding wires after copper plating.
