Improved Model-Free Adaptive Control of Continuous Stirred Tank Reactor

In this paper, we present a model-free adaptive control method based on PID for a complex CSTR device in the chemical industry, which has strong nonlinearity and low mathematical modelling accuracy. This method extends the traditional MFAC method with PID controller and thus effectively improves the efficiency of the PID control system. In the simulation research, the control performance of the proposed PID - MFAC approach is contrasted with that of the traditional MFAC method. The outcomes demonstrate that the PID - MFAC approach has a more favorable control impact on CSTR, and its control performance surpasses that of the traditional MFAC method when a step -like disturbance occurs, signifying that the PID - MFAC approach has stronger anti - interference capacity.
