Collaborative Active and Reactive Power Control Based on Distributed Event Triggered Heavy Ball Method

With the increasing integration of distributed energy into distribution networks, the demand for advanced voltage control is increasing. This paper introduces a novel approach for coordinating real and reactive power in distributed power systems, employing the decentralized event-triggered heavy ball algorithm. This strategy allows the power system to maintain voltage stability and frequency maintenance within an integrated framework. In this article, we employ the distributed event-triggered heavy ball technique, which integrates the dual-based heavy ball approach into the conventional dual iteration process by introducing supplementary momentum components to expedite the convergence rate. Meanwhile, event triggering conditions are designed on the bivariate to modify the control scheme and further reduce communication burden. The use of linearized models as a basis provides convergence results for the design process and theoretical examination of controllers. The control strategy proposed in this article can efficiently reduce communication expenses and expedite the convergence rate.
