Apply the Sliding Mode Controller to the Generator-Side Converter of the Permanent Magnet Synchronous Wind Power System
In view of the characteristics of permanent magnet direct-drive wind power generation system, such as strong nonlinearity and multiple couplings, it is difficult for the traditional maximum power tracking control method to achieve accurate tracking and fast response to the optimal speed of the generator in the wind turbine. To mitigate this issue, we modify the traditional exponential reaching rate by introducing a variable exponential reaching rate, which is verified to satisfy the Lyapunov stability theorem, thereby enhancing the system's anti-interference capability. Four wind speed models are designed, the performance of the control is observed, the rationality and feasibility of the control design are judged, and finally the conclusion is that the sliding mode control method is superior to the traditional PI control by the MATLAB/Simulink simulation results, which can not only improve the robustness of the system, but also enable the system to realize the fast tracking of the motor speed under the action of different wind speeds, and improve the dynamic performance of the system.
