Study of a Combined Thrust-Torque Calibration Equipment with Uncertainty Evaluation
An innovative design approach is proposed for combined thrust-torque calibration equipment with an evaluation of its uncertainty. The combined thrust-torque calibration has been implemented in the control of the rotation rate drive-torque load braking mode, along with a new thrust-loading system design at a fixed rotation rate. In contrast to the conventional static calibration method, the proposed design method is more suitable for practical use in the shaft rotation. Uncertainty indices demonstrated the advancement of calibration equipment through uncertainty sources analysis and experiments.
