Research on the Path of Manufacturing Digital Transformation and Upgrading Driven by Big Data Based on Knowledge Map Analysis

The digital transformation of the manufacturing industry is crucial for China to adapt to the new industrial revolution and achieve rapid economic development. This study explores the path of manufacturing digital transformation and upgrading driven by big data, utilizing a knowledge map analysis through CiteSpace. Key factors such as organizational structure, operational processes, and safeguard mechanisms are identified and integrated into a theoretical model. The model reveals how big data empowers various stages of manufacturing, from demand identification to intelligent production, enhancing decision-making and operational efficiency. Three transformation pathways are proposed, focusing on strengthening enterprise digital capabilities, fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration, and ensuring resource and policy support. This research offers both theoretical insights and practical guidance for the digital transformation of the manufacturing sector, addressing the needs of enterprises to improve competitiveness through innovation and data-driven strategies. The findings also provide a foundation for future studies to explore the evolving role of emerging technologies in this transformation process.
