DC-Link Voltage Control of Voltage Source Converters via a Fully Actuated System Approach

In practical applications, the DC-link voltage regu-lation performance of the three-phase voltage-source converter (VSC) is an important index. However, it is affected by load disturbances and parameter uncertainties. To tackle this problem, this paper introduces a robust control strategy for the VSC based on a fully actuated system. Initially, we develop the fully actuated VSC model, incorporating load disturbances and parameter uncertainties as lumped disturbances. Utilizing this model, a finite-time observer and a state feedback controller are then successively designed to ensure rapid and accurate DC-link voltage control while improving disturbance rejection. Both simulation and experimental results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Notably, this strategy has a single-loop structure, which facilitates its implementation.
