Multi-Objective Optimization Method for Crane Scheduling in Steelmaking Workshop
In the steelmaking workshop, crane scheduling is a crucial logistics challenge affecting production efficiency and resource utilization. This study addresses the multi-machine, multi-task crane scheduling problem in steelmaking workshops by examining the associated temporal and spatial constraints. A multi-objective optimization model is formulated with the goals of minimizing total transport distance, passive transport distance, and waiting time. The model includes rules for resolving crane conflicts and employs the NSGA-II algorithm to identify the Pareto optimal front. Subsequently, an ideal point method is utilized to achieve balanced scheduling solutions. Finally, the proposed approach is validated using actual production data collected from the site. Experimental results show that proposed model effectively addresses crane scheduling problem, offering decision-makers high-quality scheduling solutions.
