Adaptive Finite-Time Control for Nonlinear Time-Delay Systems with Output Constraints

In this paper, an adaptive finite-time control strategy is proposed for non-strict feedback nonlinear systems to solve the time-delay and output constraint problems. It introduces a fuzzy adaptive update law to compensate for the time-delay and uses the barrier Lyapunov function (BLF) to handle the output constraints in both constrained and unconstrained systems. The method integrates adaptive backstepping and fuzzy logic systems to manage non-strict feedback challenges. The controller designed by this method ensures that the output tracking error of the system converges to the origin in finite time even under the influence of time-delay and also meets the output constraints. Simulation examples confirm the effectiveness of this proposed approach, demonstrating its capabilities with respect to time-delay and output constraints.
