Study on the Influence Characteristics of Vertical Fine Screw Transport

As a common conveying method of granular materials, the performance of spiral conveying is affected by many factors. In order to reveal the effect of particle characteristics and screw parameters on the performance of vertical screw transport. Firstly, the mass flow of different granular materials (such as titanium dioxide, organic fertilizer, lime powder) and the maximum cumulative wear of the screw rod are studied, and the elastic modulus and density of the particles have an effect on the transport performance. Secondly, the influence of key parameters of screw rod, such as cross section shape, screw speed, pitch and stirring action on conveying performance is analyzed. The maximum cumulative wear loss on the screw is positively correlated with the elastic modulus and stiffness of the particles, and the mass flow rate is negatively correlated with the elastic modulus and stiffness of the particles. The rectangular section screw can provide better flow rate stability and is suitable for stabilizing material flow. In the design, should avoid the small screw too high speed, the recommended speed range of 60-120rpm.
