A adaptação como tradução de uma obra literária de Milton Hatoum: uma análise da série <i>Dois irmãos </i>(2017) da TV Globo

This article conducts a thorough analysis of the cinematic adaptation of Milton Hatoum's novel Dois Irmãos (2000), directed by Luiz Fernando Carvalho for the TV Globo series (2017). The approach taken considers adaptation as an act of translation and is grounded in the concepts of interpretants related to the process of transposition, as outlined by Linda Hutcheon (2011), Robert Stam (2008), and Maria Camargo (2017). The objective of this work is to investigate the implications of the modifications in the script writing process when transferring from one code to another, preserving the intrinsic integrity of the original work.
