A abordagem de variações linguísticas no ensino da tradução
Language variation is present in every sphere of translation practice, but it is not a topic commonly or directly addressed in translation courses in Brazil. Therefore, the objective of this article is to go over possibilities to deal with this topic in translator training classrooms, mentioning theoretical perspectives that could be useful to guide classroom discussions, as well as bringing examples from actual classroom situations to demonstrate the relevance of debating language variation with future translators. Even though language variation encompasses many medias, text genres and communicative situations, this study concludes that some generalizations are possible in order to better understand how to face these different scenarios in order to produce better-informed translations
