Prescribed-Time Average Consensus of Integrator-Type Multi-Agent Systems With Bounded Time-Varying Gain
This paper studies the prescribed-time average consensus of integrator-type multi-agent systems (ITMASs) with a bounded time-varying gain. A switching controller including a time-based generator (TBG) gain term and a fractional power term of consensus error is first designed for each agent. In the switching controller, the controller with the TBG gain controls the disagreement among all agents to an adjustable range within an arbitrary pre-assigned time. Then the controller comprising the fractional power of the consensus error controls the consensus error converges to zero in a pre-allocated time. By using the boundedness of TBG gain and finite time control theory, the ITMASs realize the prescribed-time average consensus and avoid numerical implementation problem. A simulation example verifies the validity of the developed switching controller.
