Design of Time-Varying Compound Control System for Hypersonic Vehicle
Aiming at aerodynamic parameters variation of hypersonic vehicle during flight, a time-varying composite control system is proposed. The composite control system consists of an aerodynamic system generated by pneumatic rudder and a thrust system generated by the engine. In the aerodynamic system, a controller is designed by the linear quadratic regulator. When aerodynamic rudder is unable to continuously generate control force and torque, a lateral thrust is added to the system. A sliding mode theory is used to design the controller of compound control system with lateral thrust. To reduce the chattering phenomenon and ensure the system stability, fuzzy control is introduced. Finally, the effectiveness of designed time-varying composite controllers and the stability of the system are verified by numerical simulation.
