Study on strengthening mechanism of 7A04 aluminum alloy by laser shock implantation of SiC nanoparticles
Laser shock-wave driven nanoparticle implantation (LSPWN) is a new surface strengthening method proposed in recent years. In order to explore the strengthening mechanism of laser shock implanted nanoparticles, this paper changes the time-domain characteristics of the input pulse laser, and uses single pulse laser and delayed pulse laser as energy sources. The mechanism research on the strengthening of 7A04 aluminum alloy by laser shock implantation of nano silicon carbide particles was carried out. Under the condition of laser incident energy of 300mJ, the plasma shock wave excited by delayed pulse laser is 5% faster in the horizontal direction and 7% faster in the vertical direction than the plasma shock wave excited by single pulse laser. And the dispersion of SiC nanoparticles implanted by delayed double-pulse laser is significantly better than that by single-pulse laser.
