Study on laser ablation effect of FRP based on data fusion
During the process of laser irradiation on fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP), the plume shielding exerts a notable influence on the ablation evolution. To mitigate this, we implemented an innovative approach: employing a tangential air flow of 4m/s on the sample surface to remove the ablation plume without causing mechanical erosion or forced convection effects, Meanwhile, by fusing and analyzing the laser parameters and the dynamic ablation process, dynamic evolution parameters such as ablation hole area, ablation rate, and ablation threshold are obtained. Additionally, we recorded key effect data such as perforation time and ablation morphology of fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP) under different average power densities (40W/cm2-2100W/cm2), the research indicates that an increase in laser power density significantly shortens the perforation time of fiberglass reinforced plastics (FRP). For instance, as the laser power density increases from 40W/cm2-140W/cm2,the perforation time is reduced form 25 seconds to 0.75 seconds, However, there will be an inflection point in the change curve of perforation time. For example, when the laser power density reaches 550W/cm2 and then the laser density continues to increase to increase, the reduction rate of the perforation time of the test piece will slow down significantly. As can be seen from the data fusion analysis results, when the laser power density is in the 40W/cm2-140W/cm2, the ablation plume has a significant impact on the energy deposition of the laser. When irradiated at high power density (550W/cm2-2100W/cm2), this phenomenon gradually weakens.
