Modeling and Static Simulation of a Bionic Mechanical Hand

Bionic mechanical hands are playing an increasingly important role in the intelligent equipment industry. However, at this stage, the degrees of freedom of bionic mechanical hands are increasing, and their structures are becoming more complex, which can lead to reduced stiffness and load-bearing capacity. To improve the load-bearing capacity of the bionic mechanical hand, a mechanical structure model of a bionic hand was first designed using SolidWorks software, with an enveloping grip radius of 20 mm and the ability to hold a cylindrical object weighing 3 kg. The three-dimensional grip model was then imported into Ansys software for static simulation analysis. Finally, by analyzing the simulation results, it was determined that the hand met the stiffness and strength requirements.
