Optimization design study of farm biogas cogeneration supply system based on TRNSYS simulation

This paper proposes a farm cogeneration system based on biogas production in response to the pollution brought about by the scale of livestock farming and the insufficient use of a single energy source. Taking a small farm in Honggu District of Lanzhou as an example, its building design is analysed, water and electricity loads are calculated, and the system model is constructed and simulated.Considering the module characteristics and meteorological parameters, the building, collector, fermenter and internal combustion engine are analysed. From the comprehensive evaluation of energy, economic and environmental benefits, the results show that the system can improve energy efficiency, reduce pollution emissions, reduce costs, and provide an effective programme for the sustainable development of the farm.
