Mu-SAR High Resolution Imaging based on a sub-LFM Combination Waveform Design Approach
Multistatic synthetic aperture radar (Mu-SAR) systems can achieve high-resolution imaging in a short time by coherently fusing multiple measurements. However, due to multiple transmitters and receivers, the echo data of a target based on the transmitting signals from different transmitters may be overlapped in one receiver. To achieve Mu-SAR high-resolution imaging, the transmitting signals of different transmitters should be designed. In this paper, a sub-LFM combination waveform design approach is proposed to achieve high resolution imaging for MuSAR. First, the echo model of MuSAR is analyzed. Second, the waveform design problem for MuSAR is transformed as a sub-LFM combination optimization problem. Finally, the waveform is optimized based on Multi-objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MPSO) algorithm. Simulations are carried out to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
