Design of Video Acquisition Control System Based on CPLD+Cortex-M7

This paper presents a design methodology for a video acquisition control system that integrates CPLD and Cortex-M7 technologies. The core of the system employs the Cortex-M7 processor, based on ARM-V7 architecture, to manage the CPLD chip, with EPM7128 selected as the primary control component. The design incorporates Xilinx Zynq series video decoding chips for effective video data acquisition, demonstrating both adaptability and flexibility within the system. The hardware and software design implementation strategies of this highefficiency, low-power consumption video acquisition control system are elaborated in detail. Furthermore, simulation results obtained using VHDL language validate the stability and reliability of the system under high-speed operational conditions. Final testing indicates that the system is not only applicable but also reliable, exhibiting commendable performance while effectively meeting user requirements.
