18F-FDG PET/CT in Brachial Plexus Neuritis Secondary to Giant Cell Arteritis
18 F-FDG PET/CT is increasingly utilized in diagnosing systemic vasculitis syndromes, particularly large-vessel vasculitis. We report a case of brachial plexus neuritis secondary to giant cell arteritis (GCA) in a 70-year-old man, who showed 18 F-FDG uptake in the aorta, left subclavian artery, and left brachial plexus. After the treatment, the 18 F-FDG uptake decreased. This case underscores the effectiveness of PET/CT in detecting localized inflammation.
