Dye sensitization and hydrogen production
With continuous economic development, energy and environmental issues have become increasingly prominent. Hydrogen energy, as a novel energy source, boasts advantages such as high energy density and zero-pollution products. The development and utilization of hydrogen are crucial measures to address energy shortages and environmental pollution. This paper introduces the current status of the four major hydrogen production technologies worldwide and the research progress in dye sensitization technology. Among these, solar hydrogen production technology, when combined with dye sensitization technology, has led to the development of dye-sensitized photocatalytic systems, garnering global attention. We summarize and analyze the research status of dye-sensitized photocatalytic systems by domestic and international scholars and propose suggestions for their future development.
